Roamlore exists to answer one question well: what is it actually like to be there? This page explains how every guide on this site is researched, written, checked, and kept current.

How guides are researched

  • First-hand experience first. Destination guides are based on places I have visited or live near. Where I write about somewhere I have not been, the guide says so and relies on named local sources.
  • Verified details. Opening hours, prices, transport routes, and booking rules are checked against the official source (venue, operator, or government site) before publishing.
  • Dated facts. Anything that changes, such as prices and schedules, carries the date it was last checked.

How guides are written

I use AI writing tools to help draft and organize text. Every guide is then reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by me before it goes live. No guide is published without a human reading it end to end. Opinions, rankings, and recommendations are my own.

Photos

Photos are either my own or licensed from free stock libraries under terms that allow use here. Stock photos are chosen to show the real place whenever one exists. When no photo of the exact place is available, the image is labeled “representative photo” in its caption. Photo credits appear in the caption when required by the license.

Keeping guides current

Each guide shows an “Updated” date at the top. Guides are reviewed at least once a year, and sooner when a reader reports a change or when I revisit the place. If you spot something out of date, please let me know.

Independence

Roamlore is funded by advertising and affiliate links, never by the places I write about. No hotel, tour, or restaurant can pay for a placement or a positive mention. See the Disclosure page for details.

Corrections

Mistakes get fixed, not hidden. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected guide. To report an error, email y2s1004sss@roamlore.com.
